The luminous celestial bodies shine with a yellowish-white gleam, contrasting dramatically with the dark night sky.

In place of the tranquil village of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence depicted in Van Gogh's masterpiece, this image presents a more ambiguous silhouette of a town, reminiscent of a European village with gothic spires that pierce the skyline. These spires are a nod to the church tower in Van Gogh's work, even though they are less defined and more enigmatic.

A solitary figure stands in the foreground, echoing the cypress trees in the original painting that bridge the earth and sky. However, here the figure introduces a human element, creating a narrative and inviting the viewer to step into the scene. This figure is dark and featureless, which starkly contrasts with the expressive sky above, much like the dark tree in "Starry Night."

The reflection of the scene on the surface below the figure introduces a new layer that is absent from Van Gogh's work. It shows a body of water, which provides a sense of depth and serenity.
